I need to finish this up by April 14th and I am not looking forward to working with 20+ yards of tulle. She insisted on a Audrey Hepburn, tiffany blue lace, satin and tulle creation. Really pretty so far, but not so sure I'll be making any more prom type dresses any time soon. I truly hate working with the slimy fabric and would really love to work on the quilts instead, but I suppose that is what sewing grandma's are for.

My dear husband brought in this tiny bouquet for me on Monday. He is not the flower kind of guy so it really impressed me. lol
This is the quilt that Savannah and I made together. Mostly me as she was to busy Face- Timing her boyfriend to sew a consistent seam. She wants it tied instead of quilted which is fine with me, since and am just learning how to free-motion quilt on my Bernina. I thing the pattern was called Falling Charms and was a Missouri Star Quilt Company tutorial. The fabric is Gracie Girl by Bee In My Bonnet forRiley Blake and white Kona.
Under this cover are the yards of lace, tulle and more tiffany satin. Kentucky is famous for zillions of ladybugs 6 months out of the year and keeping them all out of the house is impossible, so I am keeping this adventure under this vintage sheet from back in the last sixties. I go back a few years past the 60's so I have many such soft sheet around here.

I better head off to bed. It is now 6:23 a.m. an my husband will be waking soon. He sleeps better if I am on the stay up all night shift. For some reason I talk very loudly in my sleep around 6 in the morning. I don't believe it of course, but...he says I do it every night. He said he went so far as to put a pillow over my face on Monday night and I just knocked it off. He says if he pokes me I start swinging. roflllllllllll
It's tough getting oooooooooollllllllllddddddd. I will be 59 on March 30th. How time flies.
Night all. I'll try to post most progress on the dress soon.
Loved it, but happy to be home to my computer and new sewing studio. I took my Bernina with me, but my "space" was much smaller to work in.
My two younger grand daughters and I made quilts together. I will be making one for Sara the oldest soon. I have been practicing my machine quilting so I can quilt them and also the batik quilt top I made for my daughter, by far the best quilt I have ever made. The most expensive too. lol

I entered Sew and Sow Farm blogs 5 days X 5 give-a-ways. You should go check it out as it ends today. There are 25 chances to win. Sure hope I am one of the lucky winners. Jan has such a great blog and I love to read all about her quilting and also farm news.

I have been working on Savannah's sweet 16 Audrey Hepburn dress today. The lace bodice is so pretty. I can't wait to see her in it. She has a little wait though as her birthday is not until April 14th.

I will be posting pictures of my works in progress hopefully this week. I was computer-less when I was gone so I have lots to catch up on. Hard to do blog post on a i_Pod. :)

Good night to you all,
Not a good day for me. Got my music going as loud as my Mac will play it. Music soothes my soul and always has. It says for me what I would like to say. Depression is a pit that I have been in too many times in my life to count. I can survive this valley because I have survived the deaths of my son and husband, my mom. Then I helped take care of my dear Daddy for seven months before the Lord took him to be with Little John, John, Mom. My two very best friends passed away. I will remember those I have loved, because as my Mom always said, " NO one can take away your memories. "

Have you ever had a song that could make you cry every time? One of those songs for me is Angels Among Us by Dana Agnellini.
What a powerful song and message it holds. On the album cover it says, Will You Stand Up In The Darkness - For the Light.
He also can touch me every time with the song Who Am I. I need to search the i-Tunes store and see what else this wonderful male singer has that will touch me.

On that note I just made a playlist titled, What I NEED TO SAY.
The songs on this list vibrate in my chest and cleanse me when nothing else can. Some of them are Christian, but many are other
genre that I have loved in years long gone.

One of my very favorite songs is Let Them Be Little by Richie McDonald. It will always bring to memory the six years that little
Santana slept with Grandad and I. I slept so much better with her
warm little body next to me.
Her and her big sisters have lived with there wonderful mother in
Michigan for almost 2½ years. Sara is now 16, Savannah is 15 and
Santana is 13. Sara excepted Jesus as her Lord at a very early age.
Savannah made that life changing decision after much prayer from
Grandad and I almost a year ago. Now we are watching our little
Squirt going through her own spiritual battle. The devil wants her soul but God will win this battle, so "get behind me satan in the name of Jesus." We will continue to hold Santana, Sara and Savannah as well as their Mommy, my beautiful daughter, Melissa up in prayer. We also have an older daughter and younger one and four more grand-daughters to keep in prayer.

If you are out their and ever think you have had a hard life maybe you should talk to Melissa about her life battles. Her life makes mine fall short in comparison. She has overcome much in her
35 years and has a very strong belief in the power of prayer in her
daily walk with Jesus.

I Will Rise by Chris Tomlin is now lifting me up to worship my Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Thank you Lord for your many blessing and struggles of life. For it is in the valleys of life where we can become more Christlike. I thank you for the good and bad, because I am who I am because of what life has sent me.

I'll close for tonight and try my best to get a good nights sleep so I can be in church tomorrow morning.

Goodnight my dear friends and my God truly bless you all.
It was just the push I needed to make (my husband made the board of course) and I gave it a one of a kind and fun cover. Steven is going to staple it on tomorrow, but here is what I came up with. I will post another picture tomorrow and a few pictures of my new studio. lol
That word "studio" cracks me up. Totally loving my huge ironing space. I wish I had this when I made Sara's1900 clothes this summer. With out further ado I give you the HOG. We do have the kind you ride. Yep a Harley to go with our 2 Pitbull babies.
in the garage. lol
It will look much better after the edges are tucked under. I did bind them and use a really neat stitch that looks like a blanket stitch.
